Our full-time EMTs work a 60 hour work week, either 24 or 12 hour shifts. Part-time and per diem personnel work fewer hours. American Ambulance Paramedics must be proficient in all of their skills, excel in clinical knowledge, and maintain a firm grasp of the policies and procedures of the regional system. Paramedics must be able to assess a scene, prioritize, delegate, and adapt to various environments and challenges. A current California Paramedic License or National Registry Paramedic Certification is required to apply for this position.
